Description
The Rosato Petali di Cantalici comes from vineyards located 300 meters above sea level with south-south/west exposure on soils rich in skeleton (galestro and alberese). The wine is a pure Sangiovese. The manually harvested grapes go through a cold maceration with skin contact for a few hours. Static separation and decantation of the must and slow fermentation carried out at low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
In the heart of the Chianti Classico, not far from Gaiole in Chianti, in Castagnoli is the “L’Antica Fornace di Ridolfo” winery of the brothers Carlo and Daniele Cantalici, under whose name the winery is also known. The history of the vineyard dates back to the 16th century and is deeply linked to local tradition and the beautiful landscape.
