Description
The name Sammarco is in honor of Marco di Napoli, brother of Maurizia and Luca, owners of the Castello dei Rampolla in Panzano in Chianti.
Il Sammarco 2019 è un uvaggio dove il Cabernet Sauvignon predomina con il 90%, poi Sangiovese 5% e Merlot 5%. The wine comes from a 15 hectare vineyard located at 380 m above sea level. with south-west, south-east exposure, on soil composed of alberese and galestro. La densità dell’impianto è di circa 6.500 ceppi per ettaro dal quale si ricavano una media di 22000 bottiglie a seconda del millesimo.
Castello dei Rampolla is a historic estate owned by the Di Napoli family since 1964, located in the Conca d’Oro of Panzano. He is part of that group of producers who contributed to relaunching the Chianti region in the seventies and eighties. Castello dei Rampolla has been working biodynamically since 1994 and its wines have become cult favorites for enthusiasts due to their consistency and ability to interpret the terroir
