Description
Rinaldi’s Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 isn’t a “baby Barolo”—it’s a wine that speaks in its own voice. More immediate, yes, but never simple. It’s the natural gateway into the Rinaldi world—a way to approach the estate’s philosophy without sacrificing depth or authenticity. This is Nebbiolo with backbone and soul, presented with a freer, more approachable spirit.
Barolo roots, free spirit
The grapes come from younger vines or parcels not used for the Barolo crus—but all within the Barolo commune. The soils are the same: calcareous, clay-rich, full of stones. And so is the approach: hand-harvested fruit, no shortcuts, just deep respect for the land and its expression.
Artisan winemaking, unmistakable style
Spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats, skin contact maceration, and several months aging in large Slavonian oak casks. There’s no rush, no polishing to fit trends—the Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 follows the same rhythm as its older siblings, with a slightly more open attitude.
Honest, energetic, deeply Langhe
Transparent ruby red, bright and alive. The nose opens with fresh red berries, violets, dried leaves, and a hint of wild herbs. On the palate, it’s vibrant, saline, and sharp, with young but sculpted tannins and bright acidity that drives the finish. A Nebbiolo to drink and to understand—no filter needed.
