The Gianluigi Ravarini Franciacorta DOCG Dosaggio Zero 2020 is a pure and authentic expression of the territory of Monticelli Brusati, an area with distinctive morainic and alluvial soil, rich in minerals, clays and limestone, in the heart of Franciacorta. Born from the winemaking tradition begun in 1971 by Bortolo, Gianluigi’s father, this sparkling wine tells the story of an art passed down and a passion that sustains the family.

Gianluigi, taking the mantle in 2002, brought to life his vision as an artisan winemaker, producing wines that reflect the uniqueness of his land. The personal management of 6 hectares cultivated naturally, with organic certification since 2015, demonstrates the commitment to sustainability and respect for the ecosystem, including 4 hectares dedicated to vines and 2 to olive groves and woods, from which it also obtains the poles for the vineyards.

This Franciacorta DOCG Dosaggio Zero, obtained from 100% Pinot Noir, is the result of spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks and refinement in steel, with a natural second fermentation thanks to the indigenous yeasts and sugars of the must, without any dosage. The minimum refinement of 30/40 months on the yeasts guarantees complex maturation and a distinctive character. This sparkling wine expresses the depth and minerality of Pinot Noir from Franciacorta, with touches expertly tamed to become a sparkling wine with character, remaining faithful to Gianluigi’s philosophy which excludes the use of wood to preserve the most authentic expression of the wine.
