The Chianti Classico of Castello di Bossi is an expression of the southernmost area of the appellation. Full and full of character, this Chianti Classico offers hints of cherry and raspberry, surrounded by Tuscan herbs, tobacco and earth. Definitely structured, it remains fresco and long in the finish.
The Castello di Bossi is located in the center of the company, located in the southern part of the Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The first tower was built around 1099, later in 1450 it became a defensive quadrilateral shape. Property of the Bacci family, Castello di Bossi extends over 500 hectares of land, of which 120 are planted with vineyards.
The average altitude of the vineyards is about 350 m above sea level and their exposure rotates from south-east to west. The three main grapes are Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The Sangiovese di Castelnuovo Berardenga, unlike the other areas of the Chianti Classico, has a greater phenolic and tannic ripeness thanks to the mild climate.
