Castello di Ama’s Chianti Classico Riserva Montebuoni is the result of grapes from the vineyard of the same name integrated with other company Sangiovese, which complies with the quality requirements typical of all Castello di Ama wines. The vineyard was replanted in 1997 and is bordering the Bellavista vineyard. The vineyard was conducted, from the moment of its planting, following a protocol based on the three pillars of sustainability: economic, environmental and social. The nose is fruity: hints of forest, blackberry, raspberry and currant. In the mouth it has a mellow and full attack that persists for a long time in the mouth and expresses all the elegance of Castello di Ama wines.

Castello di Ama is located in the central-south-eastern slope of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti where the soils are rich in limestone, rocky, loose and the Mediterranean scrub abounds.

The vineyards are among the highest in the appellation at an average altitude of about 500 m asl and were already highly regarded by the Grand Duke Leopold0 of Habsburg at the end of 1700. Ama is a small village with a bucolic character, of great charm, enriched since 2000 by prestigious art installations created by internationally renowned artists who have been inspired by this place.

The recent history of Castello di Ama owes its fortunes to the couple Lorenza Sebasti and Marco Pallanti who with passion and determination launched this Chianti reality into the Olympus of Italian wine brands.

The concepts of Cru and Terroir, so fashionable today, have been at home in Castello di Ama since 1982 when the first Vigneto Selections came out and if the Chianti Classico has taken off its reputation as a simple wine and incapable of good aging, much is also due to the work of this winery which has always sought uncompromising quality.
